Africa Safari Review: Rwanda & Tanzania, Serengeti, Tarangire National Park, Chumbe Island, Gorilla Trekking

I wish that we had gone to Kenya for part of our trip. We met several people at the end of our trip who had gone to Kenya and had seen Rhinos.  We did not see any on our trip.  We would not have gone to the Northern Serengeti at that time of year either.  The Wildebeest crossings are practically over by the end of August and we were there mid-September.  

We were not impressed with the Lamala Tent Camp in the Northern Serengeti.  The tents were “tired” and the food was not really that good.  

We enjoyed Chumbe Island, but you really only need 2 nights there.  We originally were booked for 4 nights and we decided to leave and stay at a resort on the Eastern coast of Zanzibar - which was lovely!
