These African Safari travel specialists were the travel company that planned the most amazing trip to Africa for my husband and I. Debbie at this travel company was absolutely wonderful. She asked me what and where I wanted to go in Africa, what my budget was and time frame. She listened to what my goals were, made suggestions, and got it all right. The smallest details made all the difference. Her advice was invaluable. We went with private tour guides while in Cape Town and Johannesburg and that was wonderful. I did not want a tour with a group and set itinerary like something I picked out of a catalog. She produced an itinerary that was intimate, and personal. After many conversations, she sent me a handmade itinerary that was exactly what I was looking for. The accommodations and activities were exactly what I wanted. The company and agents are professional, and knowledgeable. I received regular communications and help whenever I had questions.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved our trip to Africa, but the best memories will be at Kapama Game reserve in South Africa and Chobe National park in Botswana. At Kapama we stayed at the Buffalo Camp, which was luxury tent Camping. It was absolutely wonderful. With only 20 guests at a time, it was perfect. At Chobe, we stayed at Muchenje Lodge, and again it was intimate, and 1st class all the way with a limited number of guests. (20-30)We did not want huge bus loads of people. We came to see animals and we saw all the big 5 at Kapama, and many more. The huge herds at Chobe were amazing. We also spent time in Cape Town, which is a beautiful city. We loved the wine country and going down to The Point of Good Hope Area. Cape Town has a many scenic spots and great restaurants.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

If I was to do this trip again, I would have planned going into Namibia, and deeper into The Okavango Delta. We just ran out of time. We went during their winter, but other then Cape Town, the weather was lovely. It is a bit chilly in the morning for game drives, but we dressed in layers, and they provided hot water bottles and blankets. It was warm during the day. Botswana was 85 during the day, 50's in the morning. Cape Town was a bit rainy , on and off, but did not keep us from doing any activity except Robbens Island. Our trip was at end May and 1st half of June. I definitely would go back to Kapama Game reserve and stay at Buffalo Camp. The Safaris were the best. I would plan for longer then 2 weeks. I would also go back to Cape Town, and plan for a stay in the wine country in the town of Stellenbosch. I would perhaps try going in Oct- Nov. just to see another season also.
