Australia & New Zealand Trip Review: Southern Alps by Aircraft, Milford Sound, Cultural Village, Uluru, Phillips Island, Wildlife

The most memorable part of the trip to Australia was meeting and spending a few days with a long lost pen pal for the very first time after more than 45 years!  Other memorable experiences in Australia included visiting Uluru in the outback and the penguin parade at Phillips Island along with seeing Australian wildlife.  In New Zealand we enjoyed visiting Milford Sound and the spectacular scenery of the Southern Alps from a small aircraft.  Other memorable experiences included a visit to the Walter Peak Farm on a steamship followed by a gourmet barbecue lunch, and visits to a Maori village and Arthur’s Pass on the Trans Alpine Railway.
