Australia Travel Review: Graduation Trip to Australia, Sydney, Melbourne, Queensland, Cairns, Yarra Valley, Cape Tree Tribulation

In Cairns we did the Cape Tree Tribulation. The description seemed like it would be really interactive, with walks in the rain forest and beaches, etc. It may have just been the company or the guide but it was hugely disappointing. Overall it was about a 12 hour day and we were on the tour bus for probably 9 hours of that listening to stories about sugar cane. We used one of the main companies there. Like I said, that may have been a bad day or bad guide, but I would look into doing another tour.You don't need to book a guide/tour for this and it's extremely easy to get there by bus regardless of where you are staying in Cairns. I heard really great things about this and was disappointed we didn't get there due to our limited amount of days.
