Costa Rica Vacation: Osa Peninsula, Arenal, Corcovado National Park, River Rafting, Hiking

The only thing we would do differently would be to select a different hotel on the Osa Peninsula. We stayed at LaPaloma Lodge which offers two free tours if you spend 3 nights or more. We thought we were signed up for two trips to Corcovado National Park (which is why we traveled to the Osa) and the night before our second trip we were told we weren't on the list. As it turns out these tours must be booked a month in advance and we had not been made aware of this. It was unclear how we ended up on the first trip to Corcovado or who decided to put us on a Mangrove tour as our second trip. To say the least, we were disappointed.  There appeared to be ongoing confusion among the staff.  We also felt the accommodations were not up to the level we expected for the price.
