Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Great trip. Our travel planner could have been more forthcoming about the gratuity policy. We are not accustomed to shell out tips for every person we contact. I suggest you pay your guides salaries so they do not make us feel they are "getting by" or include a gratuity package.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The hotel in Aswan was wonderful, the hotel in Cairo a total disappointment. Most memorable part of the trip would be visiting the tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Nobles, paying additional was well worth it. Touring in January was great, avoided large crowds possibly due to Covid, Private tour allowed us the flexiblity to get ahead of the large groups by starting early.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

at our age, most likely not. If there were an alternative to spending so many hours traveling by car between sites. I don't see one until they build better roads or improve on the train system.

As per your customized itinerary tipping was not included. It was already mentioned in what is not included section in the itinerary we sent you. In order to make it easier for you, we have provided you with the tipping guidelines 3 times before your departure. Tipping is customary in the travel industry but not obligatory so we have explained to you that you don’t have to tip but if you wanted to tip, we gave you the tipping guidelines enough time in advance.
