England Family Trip Review: London, Cotswolds, Sudeley Castle, Churches, History, 8-Day Vacation

The lodging and tours were perfect. Our guides were excellent, knowledgeable, and personable.

To accommodate our family we were able to be be booked into apartment style lodging. It was great. It took us a couple of days to warm up to it. It is an original building with upgrades, so it is quite cramped, etc. (Just as it was in the day). We loved being able to be all together and have the kitchen. The courtyard was darling. Our favorite part of that area was Sudeley Castle (free admission with the room rental). A nice leisurely stroll of about 10 minutes to the castle. We even went a couple of times. Not overly crowded and had an amazing play area for our daughter and teens. Limited places to eat in the small town but honestly I think would be considered a hidden gem.

Our hotel in London was also excellent for us. The building of course is older. The furniture was a little worn, but typical of what we often have in Airbnbs. Again having us all together was great. The staff was very accommodating. And probably the best part... Location, Location, Location. We felt like we were in the middle of everything and with such easy access to Earl's court station, we could get anywhere very easily. Bravo!
Sites. Too many to mention all. Most would be considered the "must see's" in England as it was our first trip. The beauty of the Cotswold's cannot be overstated. The history of England is awe inspiring with its amazing castles, churches, towns, and monuments.
