Our travel planners were a pleasure to work with; warm and kind but also very professional. Right from the start, the planner made me feel comfortable and spent an hour on the phone with me going over what kind of trip I wanted to plan. It was so reassuring to have everything taken care of and I was so excited to receive my binder before the trip full of absolutely everything I would need. This included all vouchers, tickets, reservations, maps, etc. I definitely didn’t let it out of my sight the entire trip!
I travelled with my 16 year old son who loves history and this trip was so enriching for him. My only regret is that we couldn’t see everything so we will have to save that for another trip.
We were so excited for this and the travel planners truly made this a trip of a lifetime. This trip far exceeded my expectations! I felt so special having a trip tailor made for me and it was worth every penny.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

So many but some of the highlights were:
Tower of London and Westminster Abbey with our private walking guide, tea at The Savoy and walking around Covent Garden, Harry Potter Studio tour
VIP sunset tour of Stonehenge. Worth the splurge, as we had a full hour to wander inside the stones.
Private tour of the Cotswolds including the falconry centre
Staying at a castle in Thornbury, an authentic Tudor Castle
Edinburgh - beautiful, vibrant city, Ghost Tour with a private guide, private walking tour,
Private Outlander Tour, dinner and a show. I thought it would be cheesy but it was really enjoyable and the performers were excellent. Even my son liked it.
Military Tattoo was breathtaking
Inverness - gorgeous and easy to get around, Isle of Sky - small group tour. Our guide was knowledgeable, personable, and hilarious. Also had great taste in music!
Dromoland Castle - truly 5 star service, horseback riding and Hawk Walk were wonderful

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would allow a few extra days with the same itinerary as sometimes the timing was a bit tight and we felt rushed. It would have been nice to have a few “down” days to explore some museums and galleries and maybe see a show in London.
Also allow twice as much time as you think you need if you are taking the train in England and Scotland. They are on automatic timers and some don’t have much space for luggage. Also, sometimes the platforms are farther than you think. The trains in Ireland were much better!
Don’t rely on Google Maps as they are usually wrong.
