Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

The travel planner with this travel company was a very nice travel agent, but didn't always listen to what I said. She provided the wrong day for dining reservations for a particular evening in London. We also ended out trip in busy Windsor after I told her I needed to unwind after going through a stressful company reorganization.
We spent a large amount of money on this trip, not including airfare, food and souvenirs. Our travel was for 8 days. When I calculated the costs for lodging, train, a pass in London, the London Eye and the guide, my total was a little more than $5K+ but I paid the travel company over $9K. This total DID NOT include airfare!!
Her suggestion of a private guide in the Cotswolds and the cotswold accommodation were very good. Unfortunately,
the last accommodation and the location ended up putting a damper on our trip.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The Cotswolds was by far our favorite part of the trip. Beauty, history, gardens, architecture, kind people. Our accommodations were very nice. Having a spa on site and three dining spots was icing on the cake!
We had a private guide and driver for 2 1/2 days while in the Cotswolds which is highly recommended. He provided
a historical context as well as taking us to some of the less traveled areas, stopping to let us take in the beauty as well as get out and walk some areas. We also stopped for 1 1/2 hrs. to shop while in Stow In the Wold.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I had shared with our travel agent that my company was going through a reorganization and I felt very stressed. I told her the Cotswolds would be the perfect ending since it would follow the hustle bustle of London. I will admit because of the complications of a company reorganization, I could not always fully concentrate on the agent's suggestions and research them. Unfortunately, we found ourselves in Windsor at a hotel which we considered subpar. This was more evident after staying at the hotel in London and hotel in the Cotswolds. Staying in the hotel in the center of Windsor made my blood pressure shoot up again after finally becoming relaxed in the Cotswolds.

We did waive the fee for a portion of the driver excursion to alleviate some of your expense.
