Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We used our travel specialist to plan our family vacation to Europe this year. They came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. Our trip included six adults plus a baby with multiple flights, train rides, transfers with private drivers, and tours. In a little over two weeks, we visited the French Rivera, Milan, Lake Como, and the Amalfi coast, and numerous nearby cities. I cannot begin to appreciate the amount of detailed planning that went into pulling all of this together.

From the villa in France with our own delightful private chef to the wonderful hotel accommodations, the cities and villages that we visited, the restaurants, the incredible wine and food, the tours with local experts, and special activities that were planned for us like boat tours of Lake Como and the Amalfi coast, everything was incredible.

It was truly the trip of a lifetime. Thank you, Devaki, for an unforgettable family vacation that far exceeded our expectations and a lifetime of wonderful memories that will be easier to remember because of your surprise family photoshoot on our last day.

I highly recommend our travel specialist to anyone who wants a spectacular well-planned vacation experience.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We enjoyed every minute of our time in France and Italy. The time in the villa on the French Rivera was an exceptional experience. The view of the Mediterranean and the breakfasts and dinners prepared by our chef Pauline and her daughter Jessica made it particularly memorable.

Lake Como and the Amalfi coast were breathtaking. We would return to any of the three locations in a heartbeat. Milan was worth seeing but it really doesn't hold much interest for our future travel plans.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

That is a difficult question because we enjoyed every minute of our trip to France and Italy. We asked to do a lot and our travel specialist delivered every step of the way. If we could take the trip again knowing what we know now, we would be more mindful of the number of transfers and private car travel required to accomplish all of our scheduled activities. We would also avoid long lunches during a busy event-filled day.

Every time a nice lunch was scheduled, we ended up losing activities scheduled later in the day. Once we realized what was happening, we started rushing through lunch (no coffee or dessert) but still did not have enough time to enjoy the rest of the day's activities

In terms of activities, no one felt that the Chateau du Pape wine and limoncello tours and tastings were a good use of our time. We would definitely not recommend them.
