Honeymoon Trip Review, 10-Days in Thailand, Elephant Sanctuary, Lantern Festival, Zipline Through a Jungle, Snorkeling

As far as tours and activities planned we would do every single one again as well as recommend them to friends. My husband and I visited an elephant sanctuary, took part in the countries annual lantern festival, ziplined through a jungle, snorkeled at serval islands and this is only just to name a few because there were plenty more! 

If anything we wished we did have a little more leisure time but with the amount of time we could spend on vacation each minute was worth it. 

The only feedback we have is some of the accommodations we stayed at were a little misleading from pictures. After the trip was booked we researched each activity and accommodations on our own and most of the hotels seemed nicer in pictures than in person. However it did not lessen our experience because we didn’t stay at our hotels much as we were busy out and about each day. 

Also we would like to note that our expectations were that we would have a tour guide present at each of the 3 cities we visited. We only had 1 tour guide in person during our first location, and we absolutely adored him! The guide helped translate, give detailed information and history of each stop and was always available for last minute questions. Our last 2 locations our tour guide was only available via phone and we were given vouchers that had to be presented to each of our drivers for activities. Not having someone present to confirm everything was taken care of made checkins and excursions sometimes harder to manage. We were hesitant to contact via phone because we did not have a local phone on us at all times.

Regarding accommodations, we had feedback from other guests, as well, particularly on the hotel in Chiang Mai, and are addressing that going forward. It is apparent that their service standard and maintenance is on the decline from previous years. We are providing complimentary upgrades to another hotel to several guests arriving in a couple weeks who were scheduled to stay there. If the other two accommodations had any issue, feel free to let me know more details by private email and I will be happy to look into it. 

Regarding the tour guide in Phuket, in the past we have had a representative meet guests at the airport for the transfer for beach destinations. But going forward, due to your feedback and others, we will be arranging guide assisted transfers in Phuket and Krabi as in other places. That way the service standard remains consistent and there are no hiccups. Thank you again for that input.
