Japan Family Tour Review: Yokohama Bay, Wildlife In Hot Springs, Tokyo Architecture

I hired Zicasso to arrange a 10-day Spring Break trip to Japan with my 9-year-old daughter. Although I comfortably plan trips around the globe for my family, I felt that the language barrier might impose unnecessary stress during our trip and hired Zicasso to help with planning. Our travel planner, our contact at Zicasso, was very responsive to our questions and to last-minute changes due to a change in the number of people traveling. Our trip was a dream. We wanted to explore the Japanese countryside and especially to see the snow monkeys bathe in the hot springs and to spend some time near Mount Fuji. At each stop in our journey we had transfer agents who made sure we boarded the right trains and buses. At two stops we had all-day tour guides who were universally outstanding - informed, charming, polite, and good company. Our last guide, on learning of our interests in architecture, offered to switch our itinerary and take us not only to the bay in Yokahama where my grandfather landed during World War II but also to take us around Tokyo to architectural gems, and his knowledge was incredible. The restaurant he chose for lunch was also outstanding. I appreciated his flexibility and deep knowledge of Tokyo. The ryokans and hotels Zicasso selected were excellent with outstanding meal service (typically included) and private onsens. I would absolutely hire Zicasso again. They really do make informed choices for their clients.
