In our 40 years of traveling, we have never had a better travel agent than Kate. During our year of planning for an Australian trip, Covid complicated everything from hotel accommodations to airlines to varied Covid protocols, yet Kate made it happen.
There were problems along the way, due to unanticipated events, yet Kate miraculously made everything work in the final analysis. She even contacted us before we could let her know when there was a problem.
We can’t imagine what she could have accomplished without Covid. We hope you’ll use her services and expertise for your Down Under travels.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Touring Melbourne with our guide. He took us to a local farmers market where he knew the people, so we got to talk with them. The rest of the tour was equally exceptional.
The second day he took us, on a private tour, to the Mornington Peninsula Wildlife encounter. Awesome
Tasmania
Cruise from Freycinet National Park was different (terrain) and most enjoyable.
Kangaroo Island is probably our favorite. A tour with another guide who fixed us a barbe in the bush with white linens and fabulous food. Then on to our lodge there where the owners wined, dined and treated us like long lost friends. Unfortunately they are selling the place, it will never be the same.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Skip Cradle Mountain, where we had to drive, it wasn't as beautiful as expected.
The Great Barrier Reef was a disappointment, not much to see - bleached coral and few colored fish.
Stay longer - we only had 2 nights in most places and took 9 plane rides in one month.
Tour guide in Hobart wasted our time so we didn't see much. MONA was different.
Sydney is just like other big cities. Melbourne is much, much nicer.
