Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This travel company planned and executed a 10-day trip to Colombia for me and days 1 through 7 were the best day I've ever spent on any vacation. I was greeted by every guide with a smile and I felt that I was a family member visiting family not a tourist. Every activity and accommodation was well thought out and well planned. The service was top rate and I felt as though I was a priority. I always felt safe and the days were packed with adventure and tons of history.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The most memorable part of the trip was the days I spent in Armenia. My guide was AMAZING!!! The hotel was outstanding and the customer service was out of this world. During a hike on the cacao farm, my guide and I detoured into a bamboo forest where the staff had set up a surprise picnic for me. It was special details such as this that overwhelmed me with this trip.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

If I could take this trip again I would omit the extension to Cartagena. It was very touristy, I didn't get to see much of the city, and the guide there was subpar to say the least.

First of all, we want to thank you again for traveling with us, it was an honor to have you here. We are so thrilled to know that the first 7 days of your trip were among the best you've ever spent traveling!
That being said, we are equally sad to hear about the less than perfect experience you had in Cartagena on your last two days. Unfortunately, as you said, the city is very touristy and the rest of the trip we really had you in some special off-the-beaten-path locations.
We were very concerned by your comments and spoke at length with our guide in Cartagena (this is the first time we have ever had an issue with him, and your experience was unacceptable). This person had some extenuating circumstances occurring and I stressed that in such a case we should have been alerted in order to place you with one of our other guides. We certainly won't let that happen again.
We expect that all of the days of the trip should be like your first 7 days and that's what we continually work toward with each traveler. Again, thank you for your time and feedback.
