Luxury Croatia & Montenegro Travel Review: Zagreb, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Cooking Class

Can’t say enough great things about our trip to Croatia and how well it was coordinated. We were able to see Zagreb, Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik and Montenegro in just 10 days and also go on a speedboat ride, do a cooking class, wine tastings, a national park as well as numerous guided tours of each city not to mention eating oysters and mussels seaside at quaint picturesque oyster farm. All of the guides were so genuinely passionate about their cities and all of the hotels were fantastic - a unique blend of new, old, chic and classic depending on the city we were in. More importantly the locations of the hotels were perfectly situated so you can really enjoy the city, walk the streets and immerse in the culture. Even though we had numerous transfers, including a ferry ride to Hvar we never felt rushed and none of it was burdensome. Drivers were always ready to take you to your next spot in comfort and worry-free. 

We originally had the trip scheduled in Sept 2020 but due to covid we re-scheduled to May 2022 and even the whole re-scheduling process was seamless. Ivana, our tour agent was amazing. Not only did she keep us in the loop for 2 years via email she had everything ready to go when the day finally came, including organizing an in-hotel covid test prior to leaving back to the US. She also adjusted some of our tours to make sure we would make our restaurant reservations and arranged for some beautiful flowers to be delivered at the hotel in Hvar on our anniversary day. But the service didn’t end there. She came to say hi in person in Split and also helped us get a same-day private transfer from Dubrovnik to Zagreb when we couldn’t get on our flight! That was a total life-saver and our driver was hilarious, which made the whole incident a fun story to tell. What can I say? This is what premium service looks like.
