Luxury European Vacation Review: Italy, France, Paris, Arles, Pont De Gau Ornithological Park, National Day Fireworks Display

The entire trip is full of enjoyable and memorable moments. I will just highlight a few:

1. We arrived at Paris early in the morning, worried that hotel rooms won't be ready for check-in and we will have to spend the morning wondering around. The moment we walked into Le Bristol Paris, we felt the difference, it was by far the best hotel in terms of services I have every been to (btw, I travel a lot for work and am quite experienced with 5-star hotels). The hotel rooms were ready within 20 minutes and there were little surprised for our kids in both rooms

2. We were at Paris on Bastille Day. I feel so fortunate to have followed our agency's advice to stay at Paris on July 14 and watch the National Day fireworks. At first, I thought the fireworks there won't be that much different from those in Hong Kong and actually planned to travel to Southern France on that day. Our agent at our travel company convinced me to stay and arranged the dinner with a view for us. The firework is true art. Our young kids, despite the serious jet lag on the 3rd night of our trip, stayed awake the entire show and the whole family enjoyed both the dinner and the firework. We may even plan to be in Paris next year on Bastille Day.

3. The visit to Pont De Gau Ornithological Park at Arles, first time to see flamingo in such close distance and seeing them flying in lines is absolutely touching. Really appreciate our local guid William organised that trip for us.
