Luxury Greece Vacation Review: Athens, Santorini, Acropolis Tour, Catamaran Tour, Local Coffee, Wine Cave Museum, 9-Day Tour

There were so many moments on our trip that are memorable, but I would have to say our top three favorites were the walking tour of Athens, the Acropolis tour, and the catamaran tour on Santorini.

• The walking tour of Athens was thoughtfully scheduled for the afternoon we arrived. It helped to adjust us to Greece time while also providing us a great overview of the city. Maria is a native Athenian and knew all the ins and outs of the city. She walked us around all the historical sites, providing historical context along the way. This helped us plan for where we wanted to go on our free days. She also took us to a coffee shop in Plaka to try the local coffee, where we discovered cappuccino freddo was our favorite coffee drink for the trip!
• It was a truly magnificent sight to tour the Acropolis tour on the second day. Evie, our tour guide, is a trained archeologist and had a deep knowledge of all the ruins. She provided the perfect blend of education and information to keep us engaged and interested the entire time. She was able to answer all of our many questions and we appreciated the expertise she provided.
• In Santorini, we took a catamaran cruise at sunset and enjoyed the amazing views of the island from the sea. They took us to see the red, white, and black sand beaches as well as took us to swimming spots with crystal clear waters. They provided snorkeling gear so we were able to see the rock formations and fish underneath the ocean and also provided a delightful meal onboard (with unlimited beer and wine!). Thanks to Captain Bobby, who got us in front of all the other boats, the sunset views were some of the prettiest we've ever seen.

Throughout the trip, Dimitris threw in extra special surprises like dinners at local restaurants and a tour of a wine cave museum. It was truly an amazing experience throughout.
