Top notch experience. From the initial planning to the final itinerary, our travel agent was extremely professional, responsive, and fabulous to work with. She truly was able to capture our interests and create a most memorable time in Italy. Once in Italy, she followed up with us to ensure we were enjoying our travel and was available when we had any questions or concerns. Her drivers and guides were an integral part to making the trip even more enjoyable and everyone was knowledgeable, on time (early), and helped make every experience even more amazing! I cannot imagine having traveled without her expertise and planning. Worth every euro! Having private guides at the tourist locations enabled us to avoid long lines and waits. The experiences are much more enjoyable without a group setting. The organization provided by this agent truly was the difference in making each moment of our travel even more than expected.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Our agent surprised us with a few events that we were not expecting. After Pompeii, which was a highlight on our travel, we were booked for lunch at Sorrentino Vesuvio which is a local vineyard. We felt like family and had the most fabulous day. The staff/owners made the afternoon very special, especially the "uncle." It was an experience we would have missed without our agent's planning. The day we drove along the Amalfi Coast with various stops ending in Ravello was another memorable day. Our driver helped navigate us to a few key shopping points and introduced us to the local shop owners of interest. In Positano, we dined at La Tagliatta which is a family owned restaurant above the coast with impeccable views. A true gem that must not be missed. So many moments that were key in making our Italian vacation more than we expected. I could go on and on, but I would simply recommend letting this agent be key in planning your trip to Italy.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We chose the destinations and feel in the future we would be sure to spend a minimum of 3-5 nights in any one destination. Two nights is not enough time. Our trip was structured to our requests and being our first time abroad, I think you just have to have personal experience to know the best way to organize your days & nights. We spent 4 nights in Rome, 2 in Capri, and 4 in Positano. In the future, we would probably limit ourselves to only two hotels in a stay such as this. You can always do day trips to places without actually changing hotel locations. Also, I would recommend packing light and don't forget you will walk everywhere so comfortable shoes are a must!!! These are just personal things we didn't realize prior to travel. Luggage isn't easy to move around in Italy but the arrangements made by our agent really did the best they can to help you get from one place to the next.
