Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This travel company and our agent created a wonderful trip for us to Australia and New Zealand. The only regret is that we couldn't spend more time. There were 4 of us, and we didn't want to stay in any "Big Name Hotels". Our agent found us smaller boutique hotels and apartments which were perfect and in great locations. The tours she arraigned were exactly what we wanted. By our own initial design, we over scheduled ourselves with Tours and realized it midway through our trip. Working back with our agent via email from down under, we were able to make adjustments on the fly and fine tune our itinerary to free up more time to explore Adelaide, Queenstown and Auckland.

This travel company and our agent were great, and I would recommend them highly!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The ECO tours to Phillip Island and Kangaroo Island were priceless, although you do spend time on the bus. Flying back from Kangaroo island (20 minute flight) is a must vs. taking the ferry/bus back to Adelaide (2+ hour trip). We were able to have a nice dinner/evening vs. getting back at 11PM. It was well worth the extra money.

Dinner at Mudbrick our last night in Auckland was spectacular. Taking the ferry, the best meal of the trip, the spectacular vineyards, and the ferry ride back to Auckland after dark. A great way to spend our last evening.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Driving the Great Ocean Road was spectacular. In hindsight we would do it in 3 days vs. 2 days to be able to spend more time in some of the small ocean towns.

We would also spend more time in New Zealand, vs. the 6 days we set aside. We would have like to go to Rotorua and seen more in the Northern Island...but not enough time.

Guess we will just have to go back!
