Rose worked tirelessly to rearrange and rebook our 20 day vacation in Northern England and Scotland after our original travel company filed for bankruptcy. She found us delightful top ranked hotels and castles to stay in- always
attentive to our needs- King sized beds and air-conditioning- where ever possible! She helped us with private drivers, fine dining and trips through out the trip. We stayed in 10 lodgings and had 6 private drivers, so this was not an easy task. We would recommend Rose at this travel agency highly for her expertise and planning.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We loved out stays at our hotel in Bath, UK- AIR CONDITIONED- centrally located and top shelf spa and dining. Lovely gardens!! She found us an excellent walking tour guide for the 3 days we were there and really saw the entire city- The Roman Baths were amazing. This was followed closely by our stays at a Castle in Bristol- regal in its elegance and accommodations in the tower suite, and the hotel in Braemar- part museum and part hotel for royals. Then on to our hotel in York- charming ancient buildings in the shadow of Yorkminster Abbey, and finally to top hotel of all in Torlundy. This historic castle had elegantly appointed rooms, breathtaking gardens and superior food and staff.
Honorable mentions must go to both the hotel in Edinburgh- AIRCONDITIONED- which was our hub for travel to and from The British Open for 5 days, as well as the hotel in Oban -which was located right on the harbor- a charming place, best beds in the entire trip- ok food, but many fresh fish restaurants a stones throw from the hotel. And of course the Oban Whisky Distillery was walking distance from the hotel as well. Wonderful tour of the distillery - a must!!

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would not stay in the hotel in Inverness- they gave us a basement room and were quite rude regarding a reservation mix up. They were also quite a walk down hills to the center of town, and not helpful in recommending a dining site other than their own dining room.
I would also skip the Jacobite Train ride from Ft. Williams to Mallaig and back, unless you are a serious Harry Potter fan. Long way to travel, if its raining- 2 hours out, with a 1.5 hour stop for lunch- at the best place in town-The Fish Market- which was excellent, but then a two hour ride back- in the rain with now view due to fogged up windows. The black steam engine did use coal- and was the train used in the Harry Potter movies. The seats were uncomfortable and had we known that there were upgraded cars available for a higher cost- like the ones that Harry and Hermione took on their way to and from Hogwarts- we would have booked those. We passed over the famous bridge- the Glenfinnan Aqueduct trestle (sp?)
Crowds of people stood in the rain to wave at our train as we passed...
