Luxury Scotland Family Vacation Review: Granton, Edinburgh, Glascow, Ft Williams, Speyside, Whiskey, Culture, Castle Tours

Pace the trip differently. Also, we were promised our originals driver as a driver and got another who while very nice was not well informed.

Our second driver was a delight...but we spent hours every day driving and not really stopping anywhere too long.

I would have stayed in Inverness instead of Granton which is basically closed on Sunday and there are no restaurants in town open so you are forced to eat at the Inn...food was ok and extremely over priced. Owners were lovely.

Oban instead of Ft Williams which only had a few bars. Oban had so much happening, I am so sorry we only had a few hours there. Ft Williams os for sports enthusiasts, not much else to do there. Inn  was nice.

These 2 towns we stayed in had very little to keep us busy once our driver dropped us off for the evening. Also, do not schedule Speyside on a Sunday when the better distilleries and the cooperage are closed.
