Our agent from this South Pacific travel agency was a wealth of knowledge about New Zealand, Australia and the Cook Islands.  He reserved hotels within walking distance to all the major sites, arranged transportation to and from the airport, set up great city tours and suggested additional sightseeing to do on our own..  He informed us about local customs and talked us through city maps via a web-chat so we would know how to navigate the cities before we landed.  Even though this was our first trip to this part of the world, we felt very comfortable when we arrived and did not waste a minute trying to figure out what to do.
