Camp staff welcoming us with song at our arrival and serenading us on our last night.  Elephants walking though the camp at night, and hearing lions roar and hippos chuckle in the morning.   Making and getting to know new friends from across the world - Switzerland, Australia, Italy, and England - and making plans to meet again.  Riding with safari guides who were some of the most knowledgable people I have ever met.  Panoramic views of vast landscapes, covered with herds of different animals, reptiles and and exotic birds as far as the eye can see.  Witnessing dangerous dramas played out before our eyes - hippos fighting for dominance, a leopard guarding its fresh kill, watching the hierarchy of a pride of lions play out, vultures hissing as they fight over the carcass of a fallen water buffalo.  Every day was different and surprising.
