Thank you for taking the time to post the review of your trip from December, we were hoping to discuss your feedback with you on your return from New Zealand but as we have not been given the opportunity to do so I appreciate you sharing your insights one month later and welcome the opportunity to provide feedback on the points you have raised. We completely empathize that the trip you had in New Zealand was not what you envisioned when you booked an exciting self-drive around the South Island. The extreme rainfall that caused roadslips and bridges to wash away in early December completely derailed your itinerary and made staying on the South Island over those few days impossible. Our local office assisted on the weekend to rebook your arrangements onto the North Island so you could explore Rotorua, the Coromandel Peninsula and the Bay of Islands, in the busy peak December summer period they found the last available rooms at hotels which were located as close to the touring sites as possible. I sincerely apologize for the confusion of your self-guided walking tour duplicating a part the Eco thermal park tour of Rotorua and we refunded you in full for the cost of the tour. The White Island Volcano eruption which took place directly after the road disruption on the South Island you experienced, completely inundated the Auckland local office and the phone lines were constantly busy - all the team worked constantly to service clients effected by these several events and we apologize that the response times would not have been as quick over this period. I am dismayed you do not feel this company assisted you whilst on your trip, the planner was in constant email contact and called you to follow up and try to assist further with your North Island travel arrangements. Without a doubt it was a chaotic few days in a very busy period and I apologize that your arrangements did not go smoothly. We ensured that we obtained refunds for the canceled arrangements and credited your account as soon as you arrived back from New Zealand to not cause you any further stress. I hope you enjoyed your time in Auckland, Nelson, Punakiki, Rotorua & the  Coromandel Peninsula and thank you again for your feedback.
