Peru Family Vacation Review: Lima, Sacred Valley, Cusco, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu, Art, Food, Hiking

Our travel company made our trip to Peru very seamless and comfortable.  The staff were very punctual and the tours were very well planned out.  The multiple staff members we encountered were friendly, knowledgeable and always professional.  The buses were clean and safely driven.  I appreciated that the booking agent was flexible and customized the trip to our needs.  It was a little unnerving to have to wait until we arrived to be handed the local travel tickets, but it all was good.  I liked that they had the option for 3 star or 4 star hotels.  The restaurant for lunch at the Sacred Valley was very nice.   I recommend that visitors to Machu Pichu forgo a lunch in Aquas Caliente because the bus up and down to Machu Pichu is long, and instead, bring a lunch, which is what we did, or go to the fancy hotel buffet right at the bottom of the attraction.  The hardest part of travel in Peru for me was the diesel fumes, so if you are sensitive to that, be aware that the trains and buses are all diesel fueled.   We were able to eat Cusco market food and salads without getting sick.
