Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Our trip planner did a great job of putting together an initial itinerary based on our input, and then made some additional tweaks to customize it even more for us. The resulting 3 week trip to Australia was awesome! Not only that, it was seamless which was pretty impressive since it included several flights, transfers, tours, etc. Just a totally smooth stress-free experience from start to finish. The tours our planner booked for us were consistently first rate and every single tour guide but one was outstanding. (Even the lone exception was pretty good). The Hotels were exactly what we expected and all were perfectly located in their respective cities. Overall, this travel company and our Agent exceeded expectations.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Well all of it really. The Ranger guided Little Penguins viewing on Phillip Island outside of Melbourne, The Yarra Valley and Barossa Valley Wine tours, Kangaroo Island, Diving the Great Barrier Reef on a boat out of Port Douglass, The Daintree Rainforest Tour out of Port Douglass was incredible, The Tour in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, and hiking Kata Tjuta, The Bondi Beach to Googee Beach coastal walk in Sydney, The Blue Mountains Tour in Sydney, and attending a Symphony performance at The Sydney Opera House just to name a few.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We took the Great Ocean Road Tour out of Melbourne. While it was definitely worthwhile, it took all day and into the evening, and since it is a long drive to The Twelve Apostles, by the time we got there it was packed with tourists like us. When we left Melbourne for Adelaide we flew. Next time, we would exclude the Great Ocean Road Tour and the flight to Adelaide. We would instead drive from Melbourne to Adelaide, spending the first night close to the Twelve Apostles and viewing it first thing in the morning to see it in even better light and avoid the crowds, plus get to see a slice of Australia between The 12 Apostles and Adelaide that we just flew over.
Our trip planner originally booked us for a 2 day tour of Kangaroo Island, with an overnight there, but we asked her to change it to a one day tour with no overnight. We loved Kangaroo Island so much we wished we had followed our planner's advice to spend 2 days/1 night there. (She definitely knows what she's talking about.)
