Review: Birthday Trip to Ireland & Scotland, Dublin, Golf, History

I think the only things we would do differently is (1.) stay longer....10 days-2 of them being travel days-isn't a lot of time to really explore all areas. (2.) We should have visited Dublin first. I think because we enjoyed the Country side of Ireland so much, Dublin seemed somewhat disappointing. It was loud, busy, dirty, and the people didn't seem as kind....this is totally normal in a big city and makes sense, but it ended up being more of a culture shock as we had been so adjusted to the quiet country life.

My only suggestion for future travelers would be more opportunity for private guided tours. We did this when we went to Italy/France and it was amazing.  We had one guided walking tour set up in Dublin, and it was so great to have a locals perspective and history lesson. I am sure you offer more opportunities like this for the ones that travel longer, but that was the most memorable moments for my husband and I when we went to Europe previously. We look forward to coming back to Ireland/Scotland and adding London to the trip :)
