Review: College Literary Tour of Croatia & Poland, Dubrovnik, Zagreb, Warsaw Zoo, Plitvice Lakes National Park

We had a great time in Croatia and Poland!  We (two professors) took five university students to these two countries to follow 2 pieces of literature, and our travel agency was extremely accommodating.  We had a fairly clear idea of where we wanted to visit, and they made all of those requests happen and more.  Our agent was helpful and responsive in setting up the trip (even when we had to switch out names of students), and then our in-country hosts were also friendly helpful, and very accessible.  Our travel agency gave us a local phone in each country, which was great since our airlines lost some of the luggage, and when we had one minor hiccup with a transfer, our Croatia host fixed it right away with a phone call.  We were also delayed arriving, and she moved a tour and made dinner reservations for us via email so we could still enjoy all the items we had booked. 

The places we stayed were all large, clean and in easy locations to get to with tasty included breakfast.  The private transfers with a driver who spoke English, and guided tours in almost all locations really gave us a feel of the local culture.  We really liked that we got options for each location ahead of time and could choose based on our budget and location.  None of us had ever traveled using a travel service before, and it was eye-opening how much easier it made everything.
