Review: Family Trip to Ireland, Galway, Cork, Dublin, Kilkenny, Ring of Kerry, Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, Local Culture

Highly recommend having a driver.  Our driver was AWESOME!  He was a great driver and very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited.  He was so accommodating.  He even took a swim in the ocean with our son as a break from the driving.  

We enjoyed all the places we visited.  Highlights in Kilkenny were the the Kilkenny Way - our introduction to hurling. and the tour at Smithwick Brewery.  Just walking the town was wonderful.  Our driver took us to the Rock of Cashel - St. Patrick's Rock - our guide and tour was excellent. Stopped in Cork and went to the exhibition of Immigration and the Titanic which was very educational.   Went on to Killarney and stayed at a beautiful hotel.  The Ring of Kerry was definitely the most scenic highlight of our trip.  Our driver did a great job navigating the narrow winding roads while we took it all in.  On the way to Galway we stopped at the cliffs of Moher - which was spectacular.  We enjoyed walking the streets of Galway and hanging out.  Then ended our trip in Dublin. Our last evening was at Johnny Fox's High Pub complete with Irish music and dancing.  Loved the clogging.  We had a great trip! And we are very appreciative to our driver who made it easy for us to take the sights in.
