Review: Family Trip to Italy & Spain, Malaga, Granada, Florence, Venice, Rome, Alhambra, Vatican, Organic Farm Tour

On extremely short notice our travel agent was able to execute the perfect travel plans for my family and me. I gave him as much notice as I had, which was only two weeks, to arrange for a multi-destination trip including a shore excursion. Our trip began in Malaga, Spain where our agent arranged for a driver to take us to from the Malaga airport to Granada. When I checked online, I found that tickets to The Alhambra were not available during our stay. After telling our agent this, he was able to arrange tickets for us. We had a wonderful time in Spain getting acquainted with our daughter's neighborhood that she had been calling home since choosing Granada as her study abroad semester. The three of us ( myself, husband, daughter) then traveled to Venice and enjoyed a hassle free arrival being greeted by a private driver (this time a private Water Taxi- it is Venice!) Our guide helped us check into a Venetian apartment which provided us with the privacy and luxury that we asked for. Since we arrived late (11 PM) our agent had made reservations for us at a restaurant that would be open when we arrived. We were glad he did because Venice is not like the other cities we visited and their dining hours are not late night. Our travel company arranged for two guides and a gondola service during our stay. My husband had some difficulty walking and having a private guide allowed us to go at our pace. Venice was amazing, and I won't go into details because if you have not been, you must go before it disappears and experience it for yourself. For our next stop a driver met us at our apartment and delivered us to the train station, and it was a breeze to go from Venice to Florence with our pre-printed tickets all arranged with our agent. I did not have any expectations for Florence as this was my daughter's wish to see Florence, experience the Tuscany region, and visit an organic farm/winery. We only had two days, and our agent arranged for us to see it all with the best of tour guides that were very knowledgeable and not boring! Our Florence accommodations were even more spectacular than our Venetian apartment. We were across the street from the Duomo with a balcony overlooking the square. It felt surreal to be eating pizza (gluten free- yes it was available ) sipping wine and watching Florence unfold from our private balcony. The only glitch we had on our trip was a driver delivering us to the wrong hotel in Rome, our agent to the rescue again, and we quickly were on our way to the hotel. We had a day in Rome and spent it with a fantastic tour guide, soon to be a Saint in my opinion for her graciousness and expertise, for a tour of the Vatican. My husband, who said if saw another church on our trip was going to scream, later told me this was his favorite of all the tours. You can't go wrong by choosing this travel agent and his company for a hassle free wish fulfilled trip of a lifetime.
