Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We had an amazing trip to Kumarakom . Our agent was efficient and always willing to assist .

All the details of the trip were handled to a T and whenever I had questions our travel agent was most assuring .

Our bus driver was most helpful and polite and did everything he could to make the trip enjoyable . The level of service provided by them was just amazing .

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Staying at the Kumarakom Resort was the best decision we made . The Resort was outstanding and we could not have asked fro better service . Everyone was so attentive to the minutest detail . Our daughter had just had surgery and we were at dinner the first night . She might have just mentioned to us in conversation that her back was sore after all the travelling , just like magic the server appeared with a pillow and placed it behind her back . There were many more such incidents and we were blown away .

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The trip we took to the Phillip Kutty Farm was wonderful but our other day trip which was the house boat day trip was quite the opposite . I would not recommend that to anyone . There was not much to see and the house boat left much to be desired .

Houseboat Experience: Regarding the Houseboat, we are so sorry to know that you did not find the Houseboat Experience pleasing. For the size of your group and day cruising, the houseboat included is amongst the best available in Kerala. As per our converstaion, you loved the food served on-board but found cruising to be boring as you wished to do some activity and go in smaller canals. But, as houseboat was large in size it cannot go in smaller canals. For smaller group size we would have offered smaller houseboat that could go in the interior spaces of backwaters. Hope you understand our constraint in this matter. You also said that there were no toiletries in bathroom and the water was not clean. Please note that the Houseboat staff informed us that there were toiletries in a box (which was informed to you later) which you did not see and also because of recent floods the water is not very clear in backwaters. So, we asked our team to offer mineral water.

Improvement areas: But having said above we have informed the Houseboat management to appraise the guests in advance about the toileteries and also advised them to offer bottled water with compliments to all our future groups. We shall also inform the guests in advance about the above experience that you would not be going in interiors of Backwaters due to size of houseboat and there will be no other activity onboard except relaxing, enjoying the scenery and food served on-board. Hence, they have the expectations set before the trip.
