Review: Luxury Southeast Asia Tour, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Vietnam, Phuket, Siem Reap, Hanoi, Halong Bay Cruise

There are only a few things we might do differently. Bangkok and Cambodia were extremely hot while we were there. On the day we visited the Buddhist temples and Grand Palace in Bangkok, the thermometer reached 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Although this was uncharacteristically hot even for Bangkok in March, we might have made the trip a month earlier when the weather was slightly more comfortable. It's hard to say for sure because then it might have been too cool further in the north in Hanoi, but the heat and the crowds on the day we did the tour in Bangkok unfortunately detracted from the experience. There are two tour stops we would have eliminated, as well... We did not enjoy the turtle conservation project in Phuket (not worth the long drive), and we really disliked the elephant program at Khao Lak in Thailand. One other thing we would have changed involved visa entry in the countries. We did not really need the expediter in Cambodia as the process there was pretty smooth, but we should have used an expediter in Vietnam where the process was painstakingly slow.

Though it was only one bad day out of an entire month as you wrote, We are so sorry for your dissatisfaction and would like to share with you your compassionate feeling when witnessing the elephant riding. I am sorry that the local operator of the Khao Lak tour (which we must use their services in Khao Lak) didn’t notify our requirement of cutting the part of elephant camp from the beginning of the reservation, though they confirmed us. We will now stop selling this tour in Phuket, thanks to your detailed feedbacks and information. We highly appreciate your comment on that day as well as your recommendation for the elephant sanctuary in Kanchanaburi. These help us not only to take care of our future customer better but also to enrich our advice for travellers who love animals as you do.
