Overall, a great, fabulous trip to Australia and New Zealand. What impressed us (three couples - all private tours with 5 star accommodations) was the ease at which we could contact our travel agency when we encountered any issues or wanted to make changes along the way, and at any time or day. Would we change anything - sure - but that is the same with any trip you make to a new country of visit and with any trip where you make the itinerary so far in advance. This agent really knows her stuff, is a native Kiwi, and is very responsive. We looked at three agents and by far, she was the most knowledgeable and responsive. We would give her and the company a true thumbs up.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

In Australia, Phillips, Lizard and Kangaroo Islands along with the aboriginal guided trip to Daintree out of Port Douglas. In New Zealand, almost too much to comment on, but Cape Kidnappers (including the wine region) in the North Island was over the top, as was the lodge in Queenstown. Too much scenery to see in two weeks. The food, for the most part, was outstanding in the places we stayed.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

We went with two other couples, so the interests between all were very diverse and sometimes not the same, so tough to judge. This was a one month "sampler" tour with two weeks in each country. For my wife and I, we would have spent less time in the major cities and more time on the Barrier Reef, a bit more in golf sampling, less time in Adelaide, maybe skip Dunedin (New Zealand), and allow for more time in Te Anau/Queenstown (mainly due to unpredictable weather - you need good weather to go to Milford Sound, for instance).
