Review: Luxury Vacation in Australia & New Zealand, Sheep Ranch Tour and Herding Demonstration, Culture & History

Zicasso was an amazing find online and the travel company they connected us to was outstanding. This travel company specializes in Australia and New Zealand and provided us with a fantastic trip exactly to our specifications. I don't like packaged group tours and I usually do all the planning myself. But this was a big one and in an area I didn't know very well, so relying on this company was perfect. The representative who was our main contact was knowledgeable, personable, and very flexible. She listened to our ideas, proposed a fantastic itinerary and was amazingly flexible when we wanted to change things. For example, she set us up on a foodie tour of Melbourne which given a limited number of days for our trip, wasn't at the top of our list. I told her we'd really rather see a sheep ranch in New Zealand and she immediately set us up with local sheep ranchers (her family!) who invited us in to their home, gave us a wonderful tour of the ranch and let us watch their sheep dogs herd the sheep. It was absolutely perfect. This travel agent will set the trip up to your budget, your needs - whatever you want. She did a great mix of private guides, small group tours, excellent accommodations, an eclectic variety of experiences - I really feel like we got everything out of the trip that we could get. Every detail was planned perfectly - every transfer, every tour, every hotel - you couldn't ask for more. Her advice on flights was excellent and when there were glitches, she was immediately in contact with us to sort it out. Not a single thing went wrong on the actual tour - and it was a complicated set of logistics! We can't recommend this company highly enough.
