Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

Our trip met and in most cases exceeded our already lofty expectations. While we already had a good idea of which resorts we wanted to stay at, our travel planner did a wonderful job in working with us to come up with the best itinerary to allocate our time between the two properties based on what we were looking for. Her or her colleagues having stayed and both was hugely helpful in this regard, as we would have likely split our stay right down the middle, which having experienced both, would not have been ideal.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The resort was truly incredible. While the resort is still quite young and you can tell they're still working out the kinks is some areas, the staff could not have been more pleasant and accommodating, and really made the stay top notch. I highly recommend taking the helicopter from Mahe to get to and from the resort, which practically not only shaves a good chunk of time off of your travel in between, it's a really unique way to get to the resort and the views of Praslin, La Digue and Félicité are a nice treat as well. On the descent into the island, I couldn't help but hear the theme to Jurassic Park playing in my head.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Honestly, this is one area where I think we, along with our travel planner, really hit the mark. We set up a shorter stay at the resort on Mahe and lengthen our stay at our next resort, with the benefit of hindsight was the perfect decision to make for several reasons. I would say the only thing we would have done differently was take the helicopter back from the resort on our return trip. We were scheduled to depart from SEZ at around midnight, so we decided to take the leisurely route back with a boat from Félicité to Praslin, and then a short flight from Praslin to Mahe. However, what we didn't factor in was the fact that we were already due for a 30-hour trip back home to Chicago, so with the extra transfers, we extended that another 5 or 6 hours.
