Review: Scotland Anniversary Vacation, Edinburgh, Food Tour, Distilleries

Our walking food tour tour of Edinburgh was lots of fun (even though the rain was coming down and the wind was whipping as we walked from site to site).  Tasting all of the specialties of Scotland accompanied by a dram of scotch, a glass of wine, and some beer led to a fun afternoon.

But the best part of our trip was being driven all over Scotland, from the North Sea to the Atlantic, by our driver.  He was knowledgeable, had great ideas to enhance our itinerary, loved the history of Scotland, and "made" our trip. We got to sit on the Stone of Scone, where Scottish kings were crowned, see Edradour, the smallest distillery in Scotland, lots of castles, incredible scenery (including some where Game of Thrones was filmed), and the Falkirk wheel.
