Review: Scotland Trip, Edinburgh, Isle of Skye, Glencoe, Loch Lochy, Portree, Royal Mile, Castles

I would research the hotels more thoroughly and ask for rooms with a view.  A couple had nice views but there were slight quirks with a couple that I would want to avoid in the future. We did book late and I know a lot of places were already full, so we were fine with it overall. 
I do wish I’d known how hard the ferry from Armadale to Mallaig was to book as we had looked forward to that ride, but wound up not being able to book an early ride and their online site didn’t work (though we got billed for every attempt we made - working with them currently to refund those fees). 
Driving instead worked out so we Made the best of it.  I will also map out all of the various routes and sites   And the distances to be sure we weren’t missing anything along the way and maximizing our driving experience.  I wish more detailed route info had been included in our itinerary.  
Lastly I would have made the trip a few more days a longer.  We could easily have spent more time in some spots.   We absolutely loved Scotland.
