Scotland, England & Wales Trip Review: Orkney, Isle of Skye, Mount Snowdon, Highclere Castle, Cotswolds, Lake District

There were so many, it's hard to name just a few. Our guide went way out of her way to make sure I could participate in everything, even with my physical limitations (I walk with a cane). She was with us for a month, touring Scotland, Wales and England. We saw the Kelpies glow in a riot of different colors at night, we were amazed by the Neolithic buildings and stone circles of Orkney, we were awed by the spectacular natural beauty of the Isle of Skye. We explored 7+ castles, traveled down into the slate mines of Wales and up Mount Snowdon, visited Highclere Castle (home to Downton Abbey), the charming Cotswolds, the rolling hills of the Lake District, marveled at original Beatrix Potter drawings, rode the Harry Potter Jacobite Train and visited his Wizarding World at Warner Bros. Studios, ascended to great heights in the London Eye. And our guide's excellent grasp of history gave us a complete picture of how each of these places were connected to each other. What more could anyone ask for??
