Scotland & Ireland Anniversary Vacation Review: Golfing, Ruins & Castles, Overnight in a Castle, Scenery

My wife and I agreed that it was difficult to pick a most enjoyable part, but there are a few that we can share.
The best decision we made was to have a driver for all parts of our trip - it took the stress of driving off of us and let us enjoy the rides much more than if we had tried to drive ourselves.  In addition, all of the drivers we rode with were wonderful in sharing their knowledge of the areas we drove through, as well as sharing options of sites that we could see along the way to maximize our experience.
As we played golf, we really enjoyed the caddies that we were supplied with along the way.  The highlight of the caddies were to two gentlemen, who looped for us at Carnoustie.  As experienced members of the Club, they knew every break and roll of the course, as well as all of the great old stories of Opens past.  It was a joy working with them!
Additionally, the look on my wife's face as we drove up to a Manor in Limerick and again when we walked into our suite was priceless.  The manor experience was unforgettable - her desire to stay in a "castle" was definitely satisfied to the extreme!
Every day of our itinerary had several highlights that we enjoyed immensely.  It was even capped off by the opportunity to play golf with our trip planners at a club north of Dublin on the last day of our trip - a beautiful golf course!
