Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We had a fantastic Holiday in Chile, Argentina and Brazil. Our travel agency have been providing exquisite service in all situations starting with the planning of the trip suggesting tours, hotels, etc. The information package provided as well as the assistance provided during our travel; boarding Card delivery, concierge service, etc. Always prompt attention and fast replies (do these people Work 24/7?) and high quality suggestions and solutions.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

There were many!

Regarding hotels the best was the hotel in Santiago. We enjoyed the small hotel in Puerto Varas (though it was difficult to find:-) and the Rio hotel was surprisingly good.

All arranged tours was great and the guides were very committed, inspiring and pleasant persons.

Perito Moreno, the drive from Puerto Varas to the Argentine Border, the climbe and the pick-nick on the rock overlooking the lake and high Mountains with snow in Barriloche, and the walk around Iguazu are all splendid memories.

We like to stroll around in the cities exploring not so turistic areas. We saw many nice places, but top of mind is Barrio Santa Maria in Rio, Barrio Italia in Santiago and Palermo Holiwood/Chico in Buenos Aires.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

El Calafate: arrive very late in the evening to avoid having ½ day to stroll around in the city ...

Iguazu: do both sides of the falls in one day. We had too much time on day 2 on the Brazilian side.

Use the above two days for a stay in the countryside outside Buenos Aires.

Book extended check-out in Rio as our return flight was 21:20.

Find alternative hotels to the hotel in Barriloche and Rio

Never let a waiter take your credit Card out of sight! We did that in Rio - Diners Club called a week after our return home to ask whether we still were in Rio because, someone had just spend US$ 3.000 on the Card!
