Spain & France Vacation Review: Two-Weeks Through the Pyrenees, Barcelona to San Sebastian, Small Towns & Villages

I engaged the travel planner to help me plan a two week trip through the Pyrenees, starting in Barcelona and ending in San Sebastian. The trip was for me and my wife, and we like small unique and older hotels with a lot of character. We also like personal tours and activities, no large groups! Because there are many ways to get through the Pyrenees and many small towns and villages, I didn't feel qualified to plan this trip on my own as I always do. So using a paid agent was not something we were accustomed to, and I had some reservations.
The planner quickly made me comfortable with his knowledge of travel in Spain, and he also asked me a lot of questions about our preferences, so I feel he really did create this trip around our needs rather than something that was either easy or lucrative for him. As we drove from location to location, we both commented that there would be no way that we could have found the locations that our travel planner outlined for us. Later, when I needed to change a date, or the number of days in a particular location, or skip one of the locations, the planner cheerfully adjusted the itinerary for us, one time even on a Saturday.
We have been to Spain a number of times and really like it. I have the feeling we will be taking other trips there with the planner's assistance, and I strongly recommend that others consider choosing this travel company for a really special trip.
