Spain Review: Barcelona Bike Tour Ending With Tapas, Madrid Market To Cooking Class, Segway Tour, Grandparents & Grandchild Trip

Unfortunately, the ratings only go up to 5. Our travel planner could have easily been rated a 10! He was great to deal with - always responsive, usually within minutes, and checked on us throughout the trip to make sure everything was OK. As an example, while we were on the train between Barcelona and Madrid, he texted us pictures of the exit signs to look for once we got off the train.

Our objective was to have private tours and guides along with free time so that we could explore the cities at our leisure. We were taking our 13 year old grandson on this special trip. Our travel planner listened well during the planning process and created the perfect mix of private tours, activities and free time.
 

The activities he planned were exceptional! They included a bicycle tour through Barcelona ending with a tapas lunch. In Madrid we had a cooking session with a chef who took us to a market to buy the food and then guided our grandson in cooking a three course lunch. We also went on a Segway tour through the Casa de Campo area.
 

Our hotels were ideally located and accommodated the three of us in one room very well. Our planner provided us a portable Wi-Fi device that enabled us to use our phones and other devices at any time.
 

We’re sorry that our travel planner only does Spain, Portugal and Morocco as we wish he could plan all our vacations!
