Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

We did a tour to Ecuador with 2 weeks in the Galapagos on a luxury cruise, and about 10 days touring the highlands and a little of the western Amazon region. This tour company provided excellent planning advice to shape the trip and had excellent knowledge of Ecuador. The ship in the Galapagos was fantastic. The lodgings the tour company recommended were also fantastic. The tour guide and driver were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and really made the land experience extra special. This tour company really helped us accomplish exactly what we wanted to do, and we had a great travel experience. This was my second time with this tour company, via Zicasso, and both have been exceptional.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

So many, but one interesting one was that at one hacienda we were booked in the Presidential Suite, which had actually been the rooms of the Hacienda owner, who was a President of Ecuador. Two weeks on the luxury cruise in the Galapagos was the best cruise experience I have ever had.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The only challenging part of this trip was the altitude in the Andes of Ecuador which can cause breathing difficulties. This is just a consideration for those with health issues or that aren't pretty fit. Altitude medicines didn't entirely eliminate the issue.
