Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

3 week trip went pretty well. Most of the glitches were not fault of travel company. Primary thing they could have done better was provide more details about each day's events a few days ahead of time. For instance, several tours picked up at hotel but left traveler on own getting back. Another was 1 hotel substandard for electrical outlets + wifi + comfort, but it had an awesome location in Athens. Had extremely high expectations for trip based on prior reviews. Rating above is really 4.7, but can't give fractions.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Venice canals lived up to expectations. Bellinzona castle tour was nice. The tours often provided info about connections between the places visited, e.g. Venice + Milan + Bellinzona. The resort on Crete had cats on premises; purr! The tour guide for Knossos was awesome with profoundly hard-of-hearing traveler + about a dozen other travelers. The provided tour of Acropolis; guide was great and we had a lot in common.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

Ensure knew ahead of time which subcontracted tour company was doing each individual thing, and review details a few days before. For instance, having a 6 hour tour 1 day and a 10-hour tour the next day was too much for someone out of shape; skipped the 10 hour one.
Don't schedule USA to/from Europe planes other than directly with airline. Was unable to remove a leg within USA from the leg to Europe when airline deleted flights to a particular airport.
Find a time machine so hearing aids would not have busted 2 days before trip. Speech-to-text in Notes app on iPhone helped but drained battery quickly.
