Travel Review: Africa Family Safari, Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar

The best way to describe this trip is 'MAGICAL'.

The safari and the guides were amazing and informative and we had an amazing time at Cotters Camp. It felt very authentic while being a luxury camp.  The family tent was perfect and the amenities amazing  - they give you a free outdoor mineral bath, breakfast in the wild, and  a complete first class experience. Our guide was awesome, as was the Massai 'spotter' on the game hunts. We saw every possible animal multiple times. The land cruiser which we were in 8-10 hours per day was super comfortable.  We went through rough terrain and rivers in it, which was a lot of fun.

After the safari we went to Zanzibar in Tanzania. Baraza was a breathtaking first class experience. After the Safari we were exhausted (though not sure why since we were sitting all day!  Maybe it was the excitement and starting our days at 5am.)  The weather was perfect and there were approx 30 additional guests at the hotel,  which made it feel even more exclusive (we definitely picked a great time to go - in-between the rainy season and peak season.) The food and hospitality were amazing (at both places) and they easily accomodated vegetarian meals and any requests we had. 

Great suggestions from our safari travel specialist all around! She was informative and organized amazing experiences for us. She also kept on top of our travel while we were in Africa and rearranged our flights for us when there were flight delays which involved connecting flights on different airlines. Our entire family enjoyed a trip of a lifetime.
