Travel Review: Africa Horseback Safari, Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Gorilla Trek, Volunteering

I selected Uganda specifically for the gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.  It had been on my bucket list for over 20 years and I felt like I was in an National Geographic special.  Seeing these amazing relatives in their native environment, so close up is indescribable!  At Lake Mburo, cantering through the bush with impala and zebra on the horseback riding safari was very  exhilarating!  I also included a couple days of volunteering.  I was surprised about how much I enjoyed the volunteer part of this experience.

I was also surprised I had a driver/guide that accompanied me the entire trip.  He was amazing - very knowledgeable and entertaining. And as a single traveler, it was nice to have his company.
