Travel Review: Croatia Family Vacation, Dubrovnik, Split, Hvar, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Cooking Lesson

The dinner at the home of a local in Dubrovnik was absolutely superb, the cooking class in Split was awesome, the off island tour of Hvar ... which I tried to cancel but couldn't and in the end, it was well worth it. And the speedboat trip in Hvar to three places -- my kids particularly loved this. I also thought all three accomodations were great. Especially the location of the hotel in Split, it could not have been more convenient. And the place in Dubrovnik in the old city was super convenient. The old city wall walk in Dubrovnik was also great, we did that without a guide, you dont need a guide there. Wish I had one more day in the country, but that is life. One son also thought the Plivice National Park was awesome ... I agree, but the bus ride was a bit long. Still I don't regret doing that trip -- just the lunch spot we stopped the food was only so-so.
