Which Country (Countries) did you visit on this trip?

Peru

Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

This was our first trip outside the US to a non English speaking country and we had our concerns. EVERYTHING was taken care of. Transportation, hotels, museum tickets, train tickets, guides, meals were arranged, EVERYTHING. We sent them our dates of when we would be in Lima and Cusco and they filled up the itinerary with the best tours and the best guides. We told them we would like a free day to explore on our own as well and they left a day and a half for us to do what we wanted. I will use Zicasso to plan all of my future trips, and if I every get to go back to Peru I will use this travel company. The travel company is what Zicasso paired me up with as a local agency and they exceeded all of our expectations.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

The travel company hooked us up with a local guide for a day long tour of the Sacred Valley in Peru. The guide we had, I believe, is the best in the country. We saw other tours passing by and not stopping where we were going. We traveled through villages and were invited into the homes of the locals because they knew our guide. We did not see any other tour groups in these areas of the villages. We got to see how the locals lived, and really felt like we were being immersed into the local culture. This was by far more than i expected and will have memories of this trip forever.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would have liked to spend a few more hours at Machu Picchu. The travel arrangements were made so that we only had about three hours at the site. I feel like we would have liked to have spent at least five hours to walk around and explore all we could.
