Your overall comments on the trip and the travel company:

The trip was nicely organized and paced. We had trouble with flights on the way there and back. Anne Schroeder was always available to help with calls to the airline. One of our bags was lost for 5 days and she made several calls for me to help locate this piece of luggage. I would have liked to have had more information about the train system. The hotels we stayed in were all very comfortable with good breakfasts. We had requested small group tours. Our tours in Rome and Florence were large, meaning a large bus full.

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

We enjoyed the entire trip. Our time in Rome was exciting and interesting but Rome is very crowded and hectic. Florence is was fun and we enjoyed our tours there. We loved our hotel. I would highly recommend the Hotel Principe. This small family owned business was a wonderful place to stay and the staff was outstanding. Mr. Bronzi (owner) worked behind the front desk, always gracious with a smile, he helped us with train information, tours, and restaurants. Cinque Terre is very unique, beautiful and our favorite place. This is where we relaxed.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

I would not go in July. It was VERY HOT I would recommend to all travelers to take Rick Steves book this gave us very valuable and practical information in all the places we visited. We really enjoyed the information on most of the tours, even though we were in a much large group than anticipated. So we would add more small group tours when we visit historical sites.
