Our agent and the crew at this travel company exceeded our expectations every single day of our month long tour of Europe. I had researched travel agencies thoroughly before signing up with this company and wholeheartedly recommend them. Our agent was very thorough and really understood what we wanted and, just as importantly, what we didn't want. The hotels, the guides and the drivers treated us like royalty and we seldom experienced the feeling of not knowing what to do. Our agent had arranged for many nice little surprises along the way that made the trip delightful. We had a pretty tight schedule because there were so many things we desired to see and do during the month of May. Our agent arranged for down time but we were never bored. I can't imagine planning a vacation with anyone other than this company. Well done!

What were the most enjoyable or memorable parts of your trip?

Our overnight trip from London to Liverpool will remain as the most incredible experience for me as I am a longtime Beatles fan. My wife, Shirley, and I were met at the train station by our guides and they took us around to all the Beatles homes and haunts. Highlights of the day included a very cool story about Strawberry Fields and one of John Lennon's lyrics as well as visiting the spot where John and Paul first met. We finished the day at The Cavern Club listening to a live band play Beatles songs. Just wonderful!

We had many wonderful private guides throughout our journey, including the ones in London, the Cotswolds, Krakow, Munich, Normandy, Venice, Rome, Pompei and Sorrento. There were many other guides but these mentioned were outstanding. The private guides give one so much information, steer us to the best spots, eliminate confusion and wasted time and, very importantly, allow one to get to know local people.

Seeing Michelangelo's David in Florence, visiting the Collesium in the evening, touring Pompei and driving the Amalfi Coast of Italy were magical moments. Each day of our tour brought new and exciting experiences and wonderful surprises.

If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently?

The main thing we would do differently is that we would not fly within Europe. We had four different, short flights that were time consuming and somewhat stressful. The airport terminals and the boarding processes in Europe are not up to par compared with the USA, and we all know that the USA flying experience can be less than pleasant. Our experiences on the trains, however, was nothing short of splendid. Next time I would do all train travel, even if it requires some extra time. In defense of our travel company scheduling our flights in Europe, I know it was done to allow Shirley and I sufficient time to do all the things and visit all the cities we wanted in our carefully crafted four weeks.
